Kooky is a story of a six-years-old asthmatic boy whose mum throws away, for “healthy reasons”, his favorite toy, an old pink teddy named Kooky. In Ondra´ s fantasy, Kooky comes to life and he experiences his adventures in an unknown natural world

Jan Sverak
Jan Sverak studied the documentary film course at the Prague Film Academy (FAMU), and graduated in 1988. While at the Academy he directed several short films (among them Goodbye Little Station, Wine-Maker and two television films: Conversation and How the Chimney-Sweeps Bring Good Luck). Jan Sverak’s talent first attracted attention through his short film Space Odyssey II, a dramatic story of two retired women living on a snow-bound estate. Here he paid his first ironic homage to mainstream American commercial film genres.
